Who We Are
Community Based Tourism Initiative (CBTI) is a locally founded non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives and protecting nature in the Greater Virunga Region. We work closely with vulnerable children, marginalized families, and local communities around Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to support vulnerable children and empower communities living around Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (Uganda) and Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda), while protecting the rich biodiversity of our shared environment.
